. Accountability and Transparency - a step towards creating trust, presently quite absent

It is past time for East End Homes to provide and maintain consistently much higher levels of public accountability and it is our right freely to scrutinse what East End Homes does. MPs are now subject to significantly greater public attention as regards their expenses claims. EEH must be no different. All should freely be able to see what expenses have been claimed by whom and for what purpose. EEH and LBTH correctly require this from TRAs. It is right, proper and equitable that we now know who has what and how it is justified. If there is genuine transparency then none can be suspected of any misuse of public funds. How long will it take EEH to put together a verifiable and independently audited expenses list for us all to see? I hope it would make very dull reading...but it may not, of course. whatever, it is past time for this to happen. It is public money and we, the public, have a right to know what our employees do with our money.
