Registered Anti-social Landlords
News is about that registered social landlords in the borough are trying to make life difficult for any real resident involvement.
This may not be a suprise to some........
- Housing councillor Marc Francis admits making mistakes to "properly protect the interests" of neighbours living on the Samuda, St John's, Barkantine and Kingsbridge estates when they were transferred to Island Homes four years ago.
- Caxton Hall Community Centre is being hassled by LBTH to sign up to a lease agreement - these leases that are very business oriented in charges (thousands of pounds a year) could drive the Malmesbury Residents Association "out of business"
- Of course we have our very own Paul Bloss and the others at Eastendhomes who have been threatening Glamis Estate with police action.
- Then there is the letter Paul Bloss sent to residents who use the Cultural Centre on British Street - threatening closure if they didn't behave
Eastendhomes did back down on charges they wished to gather from leaseholders for a public meeting at St Georges.
So attention all TRAs and resident groups - contact us if you have any similar stories or experiences from the Borough. Email us here.

Too personal
Hello. I am a leaseholder on the island. I find this site really interesting and informative. I think though sometimes comments can be too personal and offensive when speaking about individuals at east end homes.
Let's not lower the standards and let us fight our corner respectfully. We will gain more support. I really don't think it's necessary and it lowers the tone. Do we not vet the content on the site?
Sorry to whinge
WHO IS PETER GRIFFITHS?
EEH have their very own Scarlet Pimpernal, Peter Griffiths, alias Peter Griffiths Associates. What does he do at EEH? Well the secret is out, he is now OFFICIALLY dogs-body, tea and errand boy for Paul Bloss and Peter Gibbs and no doubt his salary will be added to administrative service charges. If this is a new position why wasnt it advertised? In this economic climate surely management staff should be cut down rather than added to, but its only our money they are playing with. NOW, if EEH had told us they were employing a service charge disputes officer then we would all have cheered.DID HE KNOW TOO MUCH??
Ever wondered what Peter Griffiths carries in that briefcase of his? The secret is out, inside is a kneepad and shoe polish and brush for cleaning Paul Bloss and Peter Gibbs shoes.
LBTH hassling Malmesbury for lease of hall
This should be brought straight to the attention of Marc Francis, see how much he REALLY supports the Tenants Federation.
