What does Eastendhomes do best?

As Above

WHO IS PAUL BLOSS?

It would perhaps be useful, before we enumerate East End Homes' virtues and achievements, for us to know who PAUL BLOSS is. This is the man who is ensconced at the top of the pile. This is the man who is responsible for the decisions that affect our lives. This is the man who gives the lead and sets the tone for our employees - yes, they really are OUR employees, paid to serve us, however much it may be unpalatable as statements go.

Consultation.....

Have you read the "Statement of Community Involvement" here - if you have not yet read it (a large pdf file) - do you feel you have been consulted. If you are thinking "consulted about what" - see here - and scroll down.

From the Statement of Community Involvement...

"This statement seeks to provide information on the extensive programme of consultation that has been carried out with the residents of the Eric, Treby and Brokesley Estates over the last five years, commencing 2 years prior to the transfer of the estate to EastendHomes".

"Central to the ethos of the regeneration of the Eric & Treby estate has been a commitment by EastendHomes and the development team to take on board comments made by residents and to ensure that progress is reported back".

"Residents have been kept informed of the application proposals through a series of newsletters, questionnaires and events. The culmination of the consultation undertaken resulted in a presentation of the pre-application regeneration proposals at the drop-in exhibition on 20th May 2008 (approximately 55 people attended) and an evening meeting held at the Burdett Road Leisure Centre and chaired by Terry Natt, a LBTH Planning Officer on the 7 th July 2008 (approximately 20 people".

Minutes of MECHT meeting(s)

Several residents have requested the minutes of the Resident board meeting which took place Thursday 16 April 2009 at 'The Centre', the new community hall on British Street. But FOUR weeks on they are STILL not available to us! We keep being told they need to be passed by the chair. So what is the matter with the Chair? Is he away? Is he ill? In that case surely the vice-chair takes over his role?

Eastendhomes Newsletter

Eastendhomes has always been quick to inform me of major decisions being made that effect me, my home and my family. The newsletter is always a joy to recieve. I particularly enjoyed the article in the May edition about the bananas - it is heart warming in these times of economic gloom to know that our landlord cares about the price of bananas and farmers in hot places and are backing efforts to ensure producers are paid a minimum price . Three cheers for Eastendhomes!!!
