EastendHomes currently has more than 2200 tenanted homes in management, with a further 1419 leasehold properties on estates. The estates comprise several clusters across the borough, stretching from the southern part of the Isle of Dogs through to Spitalfields on the fringe of the City of London.
EastendHomes provides a comprehensive housing management service from local estate-based offices. Tenant and leaseholder involvement is an important part of developing and shaping housing services in order to meet the needs, priorities and aspirations of residents.
EastendHomes has developed comprehensive plans for the regeneration of all our estates. These “masterplans” were developed prior to ballots for transfer and involved extensive consultation with local estate residents. Our estate improvement programme is ongoing and includes the provision of a substantial number of affordable homes for rent for local people. The overall EEH estate investment programme will total some £130m, including 'gap funding' of £11m and social housing grant for new homes of £25m, which was provided by the Homes & Communities Agency. The balance of the investment comes from EastendHomes' borrowing and business plan, which includes over £35m raised in partnership with Telford Homes.
