Initial Demolition Notice: Suspension of Right to Buy on the Holland Estate

In accordance with the provisions of the Housing Act 1985 as amended (“the Act”), EastendHomes gives notice that EastendHomes intend to demolish the following properties:

  • 1 to 12 Bradbury House
  • 1 to 6 Ladbroke House
  • 28 to 42 (E) Old Castle Street

This is to allow for the building of new homes and other facilities as part of the improvement plan for the area to be carried out as part of the master plan.

The demolition of the relevant premises will be carried out within the period 26th February 2007 to 1st February 2012.

Each Initial Demolition Notice in respect of the relevant premises will cease to be in force on 1st February 2012, unless revoked or otherwise terminated under the provisions of paragraph 3 of Schedule 5A of the Act. During the period of validity of any such Notice or Notices, EastendHomes will not be under any obligation to make a grant in respect of any claim made by you to exercise the right to buy (preserved) in respect of any dwelling that is contained in the relevant premises.

There may be a right to compensation under Section 138C of the Act in respect of certain expenditure incurred in respect of any existing claim to right to buy.
